Goshen and Little North Mountain Wildlife Management Area is a protected area located in Rockbridge and Augusta Counties, Virginia, and adjoining the George Washington National Forest. At 33,697 acres (136.37 km2) it is the largest such area under the control of the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries. The area is formed by the confluence of two parcels of land along the Maury River; the lowest terrain is 1,326 feet (404 m) above sea level, while the highest is 3,400 feet (1,000 m). Three major mountains, Bratton, Forge, and Hogback, may be found in the area, as may a good deal of native herbaceous habitat.
